
As part of the effort to support vulnerable students during COVID-19 pandemic, Human Development Initiatives provided vulnerable students under her Tertiary Education Trust Fund scheme with food items and a token. This intervention took place at the HDI office on the 30th of June, 2020. 22 students were impacted through the intervention. In compliance to the Government’s COVID-19 guidelines, the students went through temperature check, washed their hands and observed physical distancing.
The beneficiaries were admonished to be fervent in prayer, considering the times we are in (COVID-19), and also encouraged to acquire new skills and add value to themselves.
They were urged to be mindful of the company they keep and reach out to the Organization, if they have any challenge.
At the end of the program, the beneficiaries appreciated the organization for her continuous support towards their education, the financial aid and palliatives given to them.
