Olufunso Owasanoye
Executive Director (Secretary BoT)

Mrs. Olufunso Owasanoye is an Educationist, Child’s Rights advocate, Counselor and a Social Worker; she has a Master’s Degree in Educational Management and Administration as well as another Masters in Social Work and Community Development. She possesses a Diploma in Adolescent and family counselling (DipSw) and a Diploma in Social work both from the United Kingdom. She is Presently the Acting Executive Director of Human Development Initiatives (HDI), where she sees to the day-to-day running of the organization. She focuses on Children, Youths, Adolescents and families and organizes seminars for Adolescents, School Counselors children and widows. She has attended National and International Conferences. She is the coordinator and facilitator of the student leadership training and capacity building program. Her hobbies are reading, community service, singing, and teaching.

Yinka Saka
Chief of Finance & Administration

Yinka Saka holds a Higher National Diploma from the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. His responsibilities at HDI include preparation and monitoring of all budgets, keeping track of HDI’s financial records as well as seeing to any other administrative task. He has also attended training programmes in various states within Nigeria. Mr. Saka enjoys traveling and meeting people.

Bolanle Dare
Senior Program Officer​

Bolanle Dare is presently working with Human Development Initiatives (HDI) where service for humanity is rendered to children, adolescents, youths and women (in particular widows). She holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration and Management from Lagos State Polytechnic, Lagos State, Nigeria in 1998.She coordinates Community Intervention Programmes, Livelihood Empowerment Programmes, Health Screening – Intervention for Women, Adolescents Reproductive Health & Rights Programmes, Capacity Building Trainings / Workshops / Seminars and Talks. She use counselling and mediation skills to resolve issues for clients. She Initiate and develop outreach strategy for project implementation. Her hobbies are reading novels, traveling, listening to music and watching television.

Samuel Ajayi
Research and Program Officer

Samuel Ajayi is a social scientist who holds MSc. and BSc. degrees in Sociology. He also holds a Diploma in Social Development and Administration from the University of Lagos, Nigeria with over seven (7) years experience in social development work particularly in the areas of research, data analysis, and program development and coordination. He has a book and several published editorials to his credit. Ajayi is currently a Program Officer and Researcher with Human Development Initiatives. He coordinates governance, transparency and accountability projects; develops project implementation plans, and conducts project monitoring and evaluation. He is the current editor of Budget Watch Accountability Newsletter; a role he has performed since 2013. He has written grant-winning proposals and has research interests in Sociology of Development, Sociology of Education, Social Research Methods, and Gerontology.
